Susan McBride, RSW RN MTS RSW

Susan McBride is a Registered Nurse and has a Masters in Theological Studies in Pastoral Counselling and is a Registered Social Worker.  Susan has also completed a year of professional training through The Gestalt Institute in Toronto, has completed a training program in Dissociative Identity Disorders Psychotherapy, is trained and certified as an Imago Relationship Therapist and has a certificate in Critical Incident Stress Management.

 

Susan worked for thirteen years at Haldimand Norfolk REACH as a behaviour therapist and was extensively trained in behaviour modification through CPRI in London and the Behaviour Institute in Hamilton.  Susan has also worked as a COPE facilitator and worked with parents whose children had ADD and ADHD.

 

Susan’s clinical practice includes:  marriage communication skill building and divorce prevention; communication counselling around separation issues; communication counselling with children experiencing loss due to parental separations; working with adults experiencing grief, anger management, anxiety, pain management and other personal issues; working with families with child and adolescent behavioural issues; and also working with adolescents and adults in career counselling.
