Adolescent and Child Behaviour

Individual and family counselling offering assessment, guidance and therapy to children, adolescents and their parents who are in conflict, uncertain about disciplinary approaches, concerned about poor school performance, or by the appearance of symptomatic behaviours.

 

Family Separation Harm Reduction

Individual, couple, group, family counselling and mediation, to assist parents and children in coping with the losses associated with separation and divorce; and adults in dealing with irresolvable conflict and post separation/divorce issues such as personal, emotional and social reorganization, the creation of a workable parenting plan, equitable splitting of family resources and understanding and developing skills in step-parenting.

 

Personal Issues & Mental Health

Individual and group counselling to assist adults who are feeling afraid, confused, empty, deeply sad or angry, having difficulty coping emotionally or struggling with various personal problems. This includes general anxiety and stress, panic attacks, depression, anger management and pain management.

 

Relationship Issues

Individual and couple counselling to assist people who are feeling betrayed, confused, lonely, bored, sexually dissatisfied, trapped, unhappy, abused or abusive in their current relationship.

 

Trauma and Grief

Individual, couple and group counselling to assist children, adolescents, adults and couples who have survived a trauma such as childhood emotional, sexual and/or physical abuse, witnessing of abuse, sexual assault, wife assault, or any personal traumatic loss.

 

Drug & Alcohol: Assessment, Treatment, Referral & Follow-up

Services provided to adults and youth who are aware of difficulties arising out of the use of these substances.  They can be assessed, have treatment plans created, and additional referrals made to detoxification and inpatient treatment services.  We provide case management and follow-up.

Financial assessment and planning for couples and individuals who are experiencing financial difficulties. 

 

Critical Incidence

On site, direct debriefing services for victims and/or consulting for team leaders and off site consulting for team leaders.
