Dr. Linda Wiebe, Psychologist

Dr. Wiebe has been a registered member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario since 2003. Her areas of speciality are Clinical and Counselling Psychology. Dr. Wiebe graduated from York University in 1993 with a specialized honours degree in psychology. She attended graduate school at the University of Toronto/Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, and received her doctoral degree in 2001. Her areas of research interest are the interpersonal processes of psychotherapy and, more specifically, the therapeutic relationship.

Dr. Wiebe has been providing counselling and psychotherapy for individuals and groups since 1994. She has worked with a wide range of adults and adolescents in several settings, such as university counselling centres, an inner city hospital, the youth justice system, as well as within the general community as a private practitioner. She has expertise in assessing, diagnosing, and treating many psychological and emotional issues such as trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, suicidal risk, anger and aggression, deviant behaviour, addictions, and ongoing interpersonal issues. Recently, Dr. Wiebe has been consulted as an expert witness to provide testimony regarding the specific psychological issues that are related to anxiety and chronic stress.
